updates updates updates

Here are some renders that show the improvements done on the packaging for the milk and the coffee. The graphic design is not 100% ready yet. I’m still refining and fixing some details in it. Also, this morning I met with Jonathan and he already had done the glass part for the coffee packaging which is very simple. Unfortunately I forgot to bring the camera so I don’t have any pictures that show their progress.

Coffee packaging updates

Here are some renders of a more defined concept for the whole bean coffee packaging.

The graphics, fonts, images are still in developing process; these are not the final ones.

Bottle’s update.

Last Wednesday, I finally met again with Jonathan and he gave me the final bottles! Here’s a preview of how they look without any label or graphic design on them.

Glass bottle’s update

Yesterday I went to the Drayton Glass Works and met with Jonathan again. This time we started working on the production of the bottle and I learned the process of how to blow glass step by step; it was pretty amazing. I believe Jonathan has a show in Jacksonville so he had to go away for the weekend. This means I’d have to meet with him again next week to see the progress and hopefully get the final ones.

From paper to glass

Drayton Glass Works is a full-time glass blowing studio and gallery located in the historic Starland art district of Savannah. It’s owned and operated by Jonathan Poirier. This shop is specialized in art and custom glass pieces, as well as production pieces crafted in the Swedish style.

very hot.

On Tuesday I went to Drayton Glass Works and gave the renders of my design for the milk bottle to Jonathan, who’s the CEO/President of the company. We talked about the dimensions of the bottle and planned its manufacturing process.

I’ll meet with him again this morning and we’ll be able to work on the making of the bottles, hopefully everything will come out as planned. (fingers crossed).

Milk bottle concept

This is the concept that I’ve designed for the glass bottle that would represent the packaging for Carinthia’s milk. There are two sizes, the large one (1quart) and the small personal size (281mL). They are designed with a “square” corner so that they would easily fit together in stacks of four.

First concepts/Ideation

These are some renders of the first rough ideas and concepts.

Using the "weaving" method that indians use backhome. Dont pay attention to the text, i was just playing around with its placement.

This would be a more "mid-range" version of the packaging. I incorporated some of the patterns and colors that the Guaymi Indians use in their dresses.

These are very rough concepts for the milk packaging ideation. (that bottle is not the "final" one, i just made that one to have a background where i could start exploring text placement.)

Incorporating images and patterns from Kuna's fabrics. These patterns are taken from the Kuna's fabrics. The idea of this concept would be to make the glass bottles "collectible". For example one month the patterns are red and there's three different animal designs, the following month the patterns on the bottle would be green and they would show three different floral designs, and so on..
